Description

Einstein had a telescope and used it to explore the sky. We have a digital star projector that can simulate the night sky on the 360° projection screen of our Discovery Dome theatre. If you aspire to find your way around the sky and Einstein’s universe, attend Explore the Winter Sky, a 1-night, 2.5-hour course for beginning stargazers. You’ll learn how to identify the bright stars and constellations of the current sky, see how the Moon, planets and stars move over time, and preview upcoming celestial events, all in the indoor comfort of the planetarium theatre.

The course is geared to adults and children ages 12 and up, and is taught by Alan Dyer, astronomer at the TELUS World of Science.

Another session, for the autumn sky, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 12.
