Description
On clear Friday evenings, the rooftop telescope Observing Deck at the TELUS World of Science is open for stargazing. The program is suitable for all ages. No reservation is required - just show up! Jupiter is the main attraction this fall.
For those wanting a Star Show in our Discovery Dome planetarium theatre, why not show up at 7:00 pm and take in our new hour-long "Tonight Show" live star show ($5 admission fee charged), followed by free stargazing, weather permitting.
Where
Dress warm as the telescopes are outside. An adjacent Classroom provides a place to warm up and to take in astronomy videos.
However, during winter, Friday Night Stargazing is canceled if temperatures are below -20° C, even if skies are clear.
