A themed astronomy weekend for campers and outdoor enthusiasts, at Elkwater, Alberta
Friday, August 6 — Friday night: Public stargazing for visitors and residents.
Saturday, Aug 7 — Daytime solar observing plus
Saturday Night: Public stargazing for visitors and residents.
Sunday, Aug 8 — Daytime solar observing, plus
Sunday Night: Public stargazing for residents and visitors.
In addition:
Two public lectures will be held on Saturday afternoon August 7th at the Visitor's Centre:
1:30 pm: "What's Up in the Sky Tonight"
2:30 pm: "Responsible Lighting and Light Pollution"
The solar observing will be just outside the Visitor's Centre concurrent with the public lectures and the public stargazing will be at the Spring Creek Trailhead, starting at dusk each night.
