Description

Every Friday night this fall, October 15 to November 19 inclusive, before Friday Night Stargazing, take in this live planetarium star show in the Discovery Dome theatre.

In the first part of the show host and astronomer Alan Dyer presents this week's news and images from astronomy and space exploration. In the second half of the program we tour you around the current night sky using the Discovery Dome's Digistar II planetarium star projector. You'll learn to identify the current stars and constellations and get a preview of coming sky events.

This live "star show" presentation is about an hour long and goes ahead cloudy or clear and, weather permitting, is followed by observing on our rooftop telescope Observing Deck. So dress warm if you intend to stay around for the telescope viewing — the telescopes are outside

Where

In the Discovery Dome theatre.

Special Notes

Followed by the free Friday Night Stargazing program on the telescope deck. However, people may attend JUST the Friday Night Stargazing viewing for free. The $5 fee (for all ages) covers the cost of The Tonight Show presentation in the Dome.
